Fore, Day 4

June 16, 2008 - Mike Mathison
Tiger had no right to win the US Open on Sunday and he didn't. He just made a 12-footer to give him a chance to do so on Monday against crowd-favorite Rocco Mediate. Rocco played far better than anyone on Sunday who had a chance to win the tournament.

He was a half-club long on 5 and 16, missed some putts here and there, and was extremely safe with his third shot at the home hole.

But, he has a shot, and that's all you can ask.

I was thoroughly disappointed with Lee Westwood's putt on 18. He missed it on the amateur side, which is uncalled for.

Tiger's putt went in on the professional side, which means it always had some sort of a chance to go in.

I am pulling for Rocco to win his first, and probably only, major title.

If Ernie Els didn't putt like me on Sunday, he would have won. But, he did and he didn't.
