WHEELING - Robert E. Phillips, 43, of Colliers was recently sentenced in U.S. District Court to 14 months in prison for testing positive for the use of marijuana, possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, said U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II.

Phillips was originally sentenced in August 2004 to 120 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Ihlenfeld. His supervised release was previously revoked on July 1, 2008, for violations, and he was sentenced to five months in prison and 31 months of supervised release. On Jan. 3, 2011, Phillips' supervised release was again revoked for violations and he was sentenced to five months in prison and 26 months of supervised release.

Phillips was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a federal institution.
