Church holding

WEIRTON - Christ United Methodist Church will host a Life Line Screening Feb. 4 at the church located at 3598 Pennsylvania Ave.

The screening will reduce the risk of having a stroke or bone fracture, according to organizations.

Screenings identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease. A bone density screening to assess osteoporosis risk also is offered and is appropriate for both men and women.

All five screenings take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Packages start at $149.

Pre-registration is required.
