Orlando M. Tucci

TUCCI, Orlando M., 89, of Steubenville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Valley Hospice. He was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Steubenville. He is the son of the late John Tucci and Mary Piccirillo Tucci Lulla.

Orlando is also preceded in death by his, brothers, Bruno and Herman Tucci and Eddie, Guido and Dominic Lulla and his sisters, Regetta Lulla, Dena Toth, Eda Rodriguz and Dora Olenick and his step father, Anthony Lulla.

Orlando was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church; American Legion Argonne Post 33, Mingo Junction K of C 4361 and was a Bocce player.

Orlando also was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he was a crane master mechanic and a millwright and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII where he was a paratrooper in 17th Airborne.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Evano Tucci whom he married September 12, 1953; two daughters, Joan (Stephen) Parrish of Columbus and Carol (Steve) Streeter of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, John Tucci of Mingo Junction; four grandchildren, Scott, Joshua and Melanie Streeter and Shaina Parrish.

Calling hours are Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini, celebrant. Entombment at Sorrowful Mysteries Mausoleum, Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a vigil service Friday at 7:45 pm.
