WEIRTON - The Weirton Madonna baseball team scored four times in the bottom of the third inning and five in the sixth for a 10-3 victory over Bishop Donahue Friday at Bowman Field.
Mike Rogers walked to open the third and came home on Kaleb Baire's double. Luca Fuscardo plated Baire with a single and Ossman brought in Fuscardo one out later with a single.
Rogers' RBI single in the fourth brought in Grant Retton, who had singled.

Edison topples Purple Riders
MARTINS FERRY - The Edison softball team defeated Martins Ferry 8-4 Friday.
Caitlin Brenstuhl earned the win for the WIldcats, striking out three. Molly McCoy smacked a home run, a double, and drove in four runs. Cassady Jarvis belted a home run as well.
Edison travels to John Glenn today.

Wildcats nip Panthers
RICHMOND - The Edison baseball team held off Buckeye Local, 2-1, Friday.
Edison pushed across a run in second when Brian Straka reached on an error and later scored on Chance Wilkins double. The Cats added another run in the sixth, again taking advantage of a Panther error that allowed Josh Pasak to reach first. Three batters later, Alec Jones singled to score Pasak.
Ryan Kramarich picked up the win, going six and two thirds and striking out four. Nolan Marcus picked up the save, striking out a Buckeye Lcoal batter for the last out.
Buckeye rallied in the top of the seventh after the first two batters flied out. Chase Hopkins singled to right, stole second, then scored when Shane Duncan reached on an error by the third baseman. Duncan stole second before Marcus came to record the final out.
Chase Hopkins had a pair of singles for the Panthers.
Both teams play two today with Edison heading to Carrollton to play United in Game 1 and the Warriors in Game 2 while Buckeye Local has a double dip at Weir.

The Red Knights host Lisbon David Anderson for a single game today at noon.
Kayla Brown added four singles in the Red Knights' 15-hit attack. Emily Anderson and Shane Sears each added three singles. Becca Schaming doubled and Myranda Blanton and Carly Cooper singled.

Huskies defeat Bellaire
CADIZ - The Harrison Central baseball team scored 11 times in the final three innings Friday for a 12-2 six-inning victory over Bellaire at Sally Buffalo Park.
Nick Pelegreen and Rashaen Mitchell singled twice for the 6-0 Huskies. Pelegreen earned the mound win with seven strikeouts and four walks.
Three Bellaire pitchers combined for nine walks. The Big Reds defense committed five errors.

Katie Ellzy was the winning pitcher, striking out six and surrendering four hits. Shianne Nameth hit a home run and two singels to go with a pair of RBIs. Ellzy helped her cause by driving in two runs while hitting a double and two singles.
Ashley Pryor and Marissa Murray each drove in a run on a single and Mikayla Crane had two singels and drove in a run.
