STEUBENVILLE - The Jefferson County Community Action Council Head Start will hold an open house Thursday.

The public is invited to attend the open house from 10 a.m. to noon to visit classrooms, meet the teachers and see the pre-school children.

Head Start Centers are located at 189 Hanna St. in Adena, 587 Bantam Ridge Road in Wintersville, 243 S. Seventh St. in Steubenville and 106 Grandview Ave. in Tiltonsville.

"This is an opportunity to see first hand the daily operations at the Head Start Centers and how Head Start works to improve the lives of children and families," explained Head Start Director Juanita Thorn.

"Parents or caregivers with children 3 or 4 years old are invited to our open house to enroll their children. Parents who want to enroll their child are asked to bring income verification. Head Start staff will be available to assist with registration," said Thorn.

"Recruitment for enrollment is held at all Head Start activities and there is no cost to attend any Head Start activities," declared Thorn.
