Event provides comfort

May 27, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
On Sunday, Comfort House, a child advocacy center based in Weirton, held an afternoon of games, live music and other activities at the Weirton Event Center to help raise money for its operations. Comfort House works to help coordinate efforts on behalf of a child thought to have problems at home, including possible domestic violence or sexual assault, in Brooke and Hancock counties. The event was held in cooperation with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 84, which contributed $1,000 to the organization. More photos can be viewed on our CU website. -- Craig Howell
