Greater Weirton Senior Center

to hold bingo night Wednesday

WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Senior Center will hold bingo Wednesday, because of the Fourth of July holiday.

Doors will open at 5 p.m.; early bird starts at 6:30 p.m.; and regular games begin at 7 p.m.

St. Thomas selling stuffed peppers

WEIRTON - St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold a stuffed pepper sale from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 12 at the church located on Three Springs Drive.

Take-out only will be available. The cost is $2.50.

'Coffee With the Author' set

PARIS, Pa. - The Paris Presbyterian Church will host a "Coffee With the Author" with Carolyn Majors Bradley at noon July 17 at the Gathering Place Coffee Shop located at 127 Steubenville Pike.

Majors Bradley is the author of the inspirationals "The Seeds of My Love" and "Sundays, Dreams and Souvenirs" and the children's book, "A Gingerbread Heart." She will speak about her faith journey and her books and will do a book signing. Coffee and snacks will be available.

Book and antique fair in Avella

AVELLA, Pa. - Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Museum of Rural Life will host the A.D. White Research Society book and antique fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 20 at the museum visitors center.

There is no charge to vendors offering items of historical value, but a donation is requested. Vendors should bring their own tables. Local authors also will be selling their books.

Kevin Morrissey of Philadelphia will give a presentation on the Bethany trolley. Food will be available.

County fair seeks vendors

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Fair is seeking vendors to set up during the county fair to be held Sept. 6-8 at Brooke Hills Park located on Washington Pike.

Nonprofit groups, churches, athletic organizations and businesses are invited to set up booths at the fair.
