Weirton Daily Times
Members of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Club at their December meeting honored Sue Hershey, chamber president, who recently announced she is retiring at the end of this year. Anita Jackson, club vice president, presented Hershey with a bouquet of roses on behalf of the Ambassadors Club, and the members used the time to offer testimonials of their involvement with the chamber as a result of the leadership of Hershey, who at one time herself was a Chamber Ambassador. On hand at the meeting were, from left, Cara Rose, director of sales at Best Western Plus; Jennifer Cesta, public relations director for the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County and owner of Finishing Touches; Jennifer Humphrey of Swickard Insurance; Jackson, director of community relations for Franciscan University of Steubenville; Hershey; Mary Free, club president and manager of US Bank, Brilliant; Beth Rupert-Warren, executive director of the United Way of Jefferson County; Melanie DiCarlo, club secretary and administrative assistant to the president at Eastern Gateway Community College; and Elisa Robish, a guest from Franciscan University. The Chamber Ambassadorss Club is made up of representatives from chamber investors’ companies and assist at the various chamber functions throughout the year. — Contributed
