STEUBENVILLE - Tickets are going fast for the Steubenville-Weirton Community Night on June 28 where the Pittsburgh Pirates will face the New York Mets at PNC Park.
The event is sponsored by the Herald-Star, The Weirton Daily Times, Fort Steuben Mall, EM-Media, the Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley, Trinity Health System, Wine and Beverage Merchants of West Virginia, Choice Brands of Ohio and Iron City Distributors.
"Tickets are going fast," said Cindy Kotsch, community events coordinator for the newspapers.

Pirates fans who purchase community night tickets will get a game ticket as well as an Andrew McCutchen MVP bobblehead, while supplies last.
Community night patrons will be seated in PNC Park's All You Can Eat section, where they will be able to munch on hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, sodas, peanuts, pretzels, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches and more.
Autographed items and Pirates promotional materials will be given away between innings, Kotsch added. The game is scheduled to start at 4:05 p.m.
Steph McVicker, marketing director of the Fort Steuben Mall, said they're glad to once again be a part of the community night celebration.
"Fort Steuben Mall has been a sponsor of the Pirates Community Days since the beginning, and we'll continue to support this fantastic offering to the community as long as we can," she said. "We all know how much the residents of the area love sports, and to be able to be part of this terrific deal to attend a Pirates game is one of those things we look forward to every year. The mall has been longtime supporters of the Pittsburgh Pirates, working with them on their annual winter caravan and ticket sales throughout the year. I personally always look forward to any event with them since you're always guaranteed a great time."
Those sentiments were shared by Ross Gallabrese, executive editor of the newspapers.
"Residents of the Tri-State Area have always supported the Pirates," Gallabrese said. "With the great baseball they have been playing in the past few weeks and the recent call-up of Gregory Polanco, there's even greater interest. That's what's makes our community night promotion even more valuable - the package makes it possible for fans to enjoy a great time at PNC Park at a great price."
Ticket prices are $70 for those who elect to take a bus, while those who drive themselves will pay $65. All tickets can be charged by phone or are available at the newspaper offices. To purchase tickets, call (740) 283-4711 and ask for Diana Brown.
The game begins at 4:05 p.m., and buses will leave the Herald-Star parking lot at 401 Herald Square, Steubenville, promptly at 1 p.m., according to Kotsch. Anyone riding buses is encouraged to arrive by 12:30 p.m. Five buses will transport those who have purchased a ticket that includes transportation, but people are welcome to drive themselves.
"It's all-inclusive, it's such a good deal and so much fun that we have people who come back year after year," Kotsch said.
