Toronto completes double-digit comeback
TORONTO — The Toronto boys basketball team erased a 10-point halftime deficit and defeated Malvern, 74-62, on Monday.
The Red Knights improved to 15-1 and will host Lisbon tonight, with an opportunity to clinch their second-straight Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title.
Malvern began the game on a 19-3 scoring run and led 26-16 after the first quarter. Both teams scored 19 points in the second frame, as Malvern led 45-35 at the break.
The Red Knights scored 26 points in the third quarter and led by three, before holding their opponents to only four points in the final frame.
Trillion West and Nate Karaffa led Toronto with 24 points each. Nick Sninchak followed with 20 points. The rest of the team combined for six points.
