Toronto girls ride huge third quarter to defeat Huskies

CADIZ — The Toronto girls basketball team rode a huge third quarter to best Harrison Central, 61-52, on Wednesday.

The Red Knights (3-2) and Huskies (1-5) were tied 27-27 at halftime. Toronto then outscored Harrison Central, 24-9, in the third and held on despite being outscored, 16-10, in the fourth.

Jensyn Jackson paced the Red Knights with 15 points. Kennedy Cottrell and Kianna Beckwith had 10 points apiece, while Riley Kinsey added nine.

For Harrison Central, McKayla Dunkle shined again with a game-high 27 points. Britton Positano had nine points, and Maddy Butler chipped in six.
