Bellaire girls best Steubenville, 57-51

BELLAIRE — The Steubenville girls basketball team fell to Bellaire, 57-51, on Monday.

Kylie Maxwell and Elexis Martin led Big Red with 18 points apiece. Madison Fields had 11 points. The rest of the team combined for four.

Katrina Davis led Bellaire with a game-high 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 steals.

Steubenville travels to Toronto on Thursday.

Edison 47, Conotton Valley 45

RICHMOND — The Edison girls basketball team rode a strong third quarter to a 47-45 victory over Conotton Valley on Monday.

Alysea Fiedorczyk led the Wildcats with a game-high 22 points. Savanna Ankrom and Alayna Meadows netted eight apiece.

Edison travels to Martins Ferry on Thursday.

Oak Glen 67, East Liverpool 64

NEW MANCHESTER –Oak Glen withstood a 27-point fourth quarter by East Liverpool for a 67-64 win Monday.

The Golden Bears improve to 7-6 on the season, while the Potters drop to 9-6.

Reece Enochs led Oak Glen with a game-high 24 points. Alexa Andrews contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Maddie McKay had nine points and six rebounds and Alayna Kranis grabbed six rebounds.

The Golden Bears led 47-38 heading into the final period.

Emma Ludwig topped the Potters with 23 points. Mikaya Reed followed with 14 points.

The Golden Bears also won the junior varsity game, 45-41, as Alexus Greenlief scored 10 points.

Both teams play Thursday, as Oak Glen hosts Beaver Local in a Coaches vs. Cancer game at 6 p.m., while East Liverpool travels to United.
