Indian Creek 3, Steubenville 0

STEUBENVILLE — The Indian Creek volleyball team swept Steubenville for the second time this year on Saturday, 25-16, 25-20, 25-14.

Taylor Jones paced the Redskins (8-1) with 11 kills, four blocks, five digs and two aces. Lexi Crane had 12 kills, a pair of blocks and one ace. Lyndi Starkey contributed one dig and 19 assists, and Carley Penner added four kills, 14 assists and four digs.

For Big Red, Jillian Haney led with eight points, an ace and one dig. Emily Allen had five points, two aces, 23 assists and one dig. Anna Taylor added three points, nine kills, two blocks and nine digs.

Indian Creek travels to Beaver Local on Monday, while Big Red heads to Harrison Central on Wednesday.

Brooke 3, Toronto 0

WELLSBURG — The Brooke volleyball team swept Toronto, 25-13, 25-13, 25-19, on Saturday.

Preslie Ridgely led the Bruins (4-2) with 18 kills and 11 digs. Ava Bolen produced 16 kills and 10 blocks. Ella Haught had 19 assists, while Angelina Lippoli tallied seven kills and 16 digs.

Brooke travels to Dover on Monday.


Big Red 3, Beaver Local 3

The Steubenville girls soccer team played to a 3-3 tie with Beaver Local on Saturday.

Mary Marshall scored all three goals for Big Red, with assists from Libby Saccoccia and Anastasia Crisante.

Catholic Central 2, Edison 1

STEUBENVILLE — The Catholic Central girls soccer team edged Edison, 2-1, on Saturday.

Delaney Johnston scored for the Wildcats, with an assist from Maddie Brenstuhl. Emma Scott had seven saves.


Brooke 2, Preston 2

KINGWOOD — The Brooke boys soccer team tied Preston, 2-2, on Saturday.

Eddie Marks and Telmo Randazzo scored for the Bruins (4-1-1). Marks and Hunter Adams recorded an assist each. Andrew Coursin made 13 saves in goal.

For Preston, Andy Forman scored both times, with assists from J.D. Barker and Jacob Williams. J.T. Flores had 23 saves.
