Creek girls run record to 10-1

WINTERSVILLE — The Indian Creek girls basketball team continued its dominate way following a 63-15 victory over Beaver Local on Thursday.

Taylor Jones led the Redskins (10-1) with 16 points. Kylie Kiger collected 14 points. Makenzie Taylor scored 13, and Hailey Clark added 11.

For the Beavers, Olivia Keller had six points, while Peyton Roberts scored four.

Indian Creek tentatively hosts Steubenville on Tuesday.

The Redskins also won the jayvee contest, 42-11. Maddie Ballato paced Creek with 15 points, and Courtney Walkosky had eight.

RICHMOND — The Edison girls basketball team won its third contest in the last four, defeating Conotton Valley 52-33 on Thursday.

Olivia Huff led the Wildcats (3-8) with 11 points. Alysea Fiedorczyk, returning from a prolonged injury, had nine points. Pam Johnson and Emma Scott evenly divided 10 points.

Edison tentatively travels to East Liverpool on Monday.

TORONTO — The Toronto girls basketball team fell to River, 51-30, on Thursday.

Andrea Reeves and Maddie Anderson each scored six points to lead the Red Knights (3-6). Jensyn Jackson and Kendal Thomas evenly divided eight points.

Toronto tentatively travels to Catholic Central on Wednesday.

Audrey Corder paced the Huskies (6-4) with 14 points. McKayla Dunkle had 11 points, and Britton Positano added 10.

For the Shamrocks, Hallie Markovich tallied a game-high 19 points.

Harrison Central tentatively travels to Martins Ferry on Monday.
