Scott helps Indian Creek girls top East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL — McKenna Scott netted 21 points and the Indian Creek girls basketball team topped East Liverpool 49-31 for a victory on the road Wednesday evening.

The win improves the Redskins to a 5-1 mark so far this season.

In addition to Scott’s 21, Kaydence Walker tallied 10 and Ryley Sadler hit a 3 and finished with seven points.

Creek takes on Union Local on Friday.

EL Boys, Steubenville Girls Splash To Wins

STEUBENVILLE – The Potters went 4-0 in boys action, while Big Red did the same on the girls’ side inside the natatorium at Steubenville High School.

Boys

Weir, which finished 1-3, had the lone double individual winner in Rayn Owen who won the 200 IM and 500 Freestyle.

Oak Glen went 3-1, Steubenville 2-2 and Union Local 0-4.

Girls

Weir’s Catherine Glodowski swept the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle events, while teammate Lauren Bissett swam to victories in the 100 Breaststroke and 200 Freestyle.

The Red Riders were 3-1, East Liverpool 2-2 and Union Local 1-3.
