Trio in double figures leads Creek over East Liverpool
WINTERSVILLE – The Indian Creek girls basketball team had three players reach double digits to lead the way in a 65-31 win over East Liverpool on Wednesday.
Kaydence Walker netted 19 points, while McKenna Scott knocked down four 3s to tally 18 points and Rylee Sadler finished with 16 points.
The win moved Creek back above .500 at 7-6.
Toronto falls to Southern
TORONTO – The Toronto girls basketball team dropped a 63-42 decision to Southern Local on Wednesday night.
Tatum Derrington led the Red Knights, now 4-7, with 15 points, while Jayna Raaves tallied 11.

Central tops Buckeye
CONNORVILLE – The Catholic Central boys basketball team got back in the win column Tuesday with a 59-30 victory at Buckeye Local.
Central, now 10-2, reached double digit wins with the victory.
The Crusaders were led by 24 points from Benji Rook while Camden Bradley tallied 13.
The Panthers got 10 points from Isaac Hess.
Jefferson Christian gets a win
WEIRTON – The Jefferson County Christian School basketball team topped Plants and Pillars Mighty Oaks 49-33 Tuesday at the Milsop Center.
The Royals’ Lee Gump had 11 points and eight rebounds, Mark Jenkins had 10 points and Wyatt Hervey racked up nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Big Red tops tri
STEUBENVILLE – Big Red’s boys and girls swimming teams each picked up victories over visiting John Glenn and Cambridge on Tuesday during a tri inside the Big Red Natatorium.
Big Red swimmers won 17 of 22 events.
