Barons return home for pivotal week

STEUBENVILLE — The Franciscan University of Steubenville men’s basketball team return to the friendly confines of Finnegan Fieldhouse this week for a pair of important home contests as they continue to make a run at the President’s Athletic Conference Championship.

Franciscan will host Waynesburg University on Wednesday, with tip-off set for 6 p.m. The homestand continues on Saturday with a special afternoon matchup against Hiram College at 3 p.m. as part of Kuzma Community Day, a celebration honoring the legacy of legendary Barons coach Hank Kuzma and his lasting impact on the program and community.

The Barons enter the week with a strong 12-4 record and are led by one of the most dynamic scorers in the nation. Junior Sawyer Butler currently ranks third in NCAA Division III in scoring, pouring in an impressive 25.8 points per game.

With two home games and a special community celebration on tap, the Barons look to protect their home court and continue their push through conference play.
