WELLSBURG — John Marshall outlasted Brooke in five sets, 20-25, 25-19, 24-26, 22-20, on Thursday.

Preslie Ridgely led the Bruins (7-5) with 17 kills, 17 digs and four aces. Ava Bolen contributed seven kills and 15 blocks. Ella Haught had 23 assists, while Olivia Beecroft tallied 26 assists and four aces.

Brooke travels to Toronto for a noon match on Saturday.

Beaver Local 3, Oak Glen 1

Beaver Local defeated Oak Glen, 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, on Thursday.

Alayna Kranis had 13 kills and eight aces for the Golden Bears. Ashly Six produced seven kills, and Rory McNutt five. Gracie Wright had 27 assists.

Edison 3, Buckeye Local 0

RICHMOND — Edison swept Buckeye Local, 25-8, 25-16, 25-8, on Thursday.

Gracie Phillips paced the Wildcats with 26 points. Karissa Speedy tallied 14 assists and Corinne Freeman eight kills. Grayce Andreozzi and Savanna Ankrom had four kills apiece.

Edison travels to Steubenville on Saturday.

Harrison Central 3, Martins Ferry 0

Harrison Central swept Martins Ferry, 25-13, 25-11, 25-20, on Thursday.

McKayla Dunkle led the Huskies with 22 kills. Lexi Ferguson had 30 assists and eight aces. Maddy Butler chipped in 11 digs, while Becca Banks added five kills.


Indian Creek 168, Edison 238

BLOOMINGDALE — Indian Creek outshot Edison, 168-238, on Thursday at Red Oaks.

The Redskins’ Justice Morris was the medalist with a 39. Noah Tweedy carded a 41, Luke Merriman 43 and Mason Porter 45.

For the Wildcats, Ryan Dinger led with a 54. Tommy Phillips had a 57, Aiden Ferguson 63 and Tristin Arnold 65.

John Marshall 176, Steubenville 201

STEUBENVILLE — John Marshall’s Colton Sprowls shot a 41 to earn medalist honors and lead the Monarchs past Big Red, 176-201, on Thursday at Steubenville Country Club.

Bubby Reese led Steubenville with a 47. Frankie Vostatek shot a 49, Cole Antill 50 and Sonny Staffilino 55.
