2 bodies pulled from house that caught fire in West Virginia

WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) — Two people have died after a fire at a home in northern West Virginia, fire officials said.

The bodies of two adults were pulled from a home in Wheeling on Tuesday night, the Wheeling Fire Department said on its Facebook page.

A passerby reported the fire. Firefighters battled the fire for more than an hour, the department said.

The bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
