The great pretenders

To the Editor,

Democrats and liberals truly are the “Great Pretenders.”

They pretend that “climate change” is a terrible, immediate crisis, despite the fact that not one of the long-predicted disasters has ever come to pass.

They pretend that Obama’s presidency has not been a failure, and catastrophically bad for America.

That the serious racial tension, divisiveness and unrest we’re experiencing in America today, were there before Obama.

They pretend to care about “the little guy.”

They pretend that there’s a Republican “war on women.”

And a law enforcement “war on blacks.”

That Republicans and conservatives “hate immigrants and immigration,” when really, it’s illegal immigrants and illegal immigration we dislike.

They pretend that Donald Trump is “racist,” for saying that illegal immigration is wrong, and a problem; Bill Clinton was great, though, back when he said the same thing.

They pretend that Clinton didn’t call for “regime change” in Iraq in 1998, due to Saddam’s WMD programs.

That Bush’s presidency “failed;” Bush had the lowest real unemployment and highest revenue generation in history; when he left office, Iraq had free elections, relative peace and some stability.

They pretend that the Democrats have “always” supported blacks, gays, and civil rights.

They pretend to honor and love Jesus Christ and the Bible, while endlessly trying to remove both from public affairs, and to secularize the culture.

They pretend that animals have the same rights as people.

They pretend that the Koch brothers’ funding conservative groups and causes is outrageously wrong; however, George Soros’ funding leftist/liberal groups and causes seems fine.

They pretend that “fur is murder,” but “whoopsie” abortions aren’t.

That guns and gun violence are a much, much worse problem than they truly are.

They pretend that Islam is the “religion of peace”.

They pretend that communism was a great idea – and they still hate Ronald Reagan, for toppling the USSR, the model for all their big government hopes and aspirations.

Speaking of Reagan, they pretend that his presidency was the worst thing to ever happen to America, despite the creation of thousands of businesses and tens of millions of jobs, the recovery of the American military and our strength, morale and pride – after the nightmare of inflation, unemployment and miserable, leaderless malaise Jimmy Carter left – and challenging and defeating Soviet communism.

However, it must be understood that liberals see everything Reagan accomplished as “bad for America,” because Reagan sought to strengthen and encourage America and Americanism; liberalism, perpetually seeking to “diminish our profile,” favors its weakening, and decline.

They pretend that liberalism is patriotic, and pro-American.

They pretend that socialism works.

They pretend that Hillary is likeable.

That she isn’t an arrogant, ill-tempered, condescending elitist, a deceitful, blatant liar, and an influence-peddling, bribe-taking criminal.

Undoubtedly, most liberals and Democrats want what’s “best” for America; unfortunately, much of what they consider “best” has failed horrendously elsewhere, bringing misery, oppression, poverty, economic ruin, and even death to untold millions, for generations.

But, they simply pretend that that’s not true.

Oh, yes; they’re the Great Pretenders.
