WEIRTON - A city resident is in the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail today following a stabbing at a local gas station over the weekend.
Weirton Police arrested David Nelson Allen, 55, charging him with felony malicious wounding for the stabbing of Eric Stewart at the Marathon Gas Station, 3627 Main St., Sunday morning.
Allen is being held on a $125,000 surety/cash bail.
Stewart was transported to Weirton Medical Center following the stabbing. Police report his wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
