The Brooke County Health Department and C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc. will be hosting visits from Bonnie's Bus, a mobile breast cancer screening unit.
The screenings will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9 near C.H.A.N.G.E.'s Weirton Family Medical Care office.
Another screening will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 10 outside of the Brooke County Public Library.
Operated in partnership with West Virginia University hospitals, the 40-foot long wheelchair-accessible vehicle offers digital mammograms for its patients.
It was established through a donation by Jo and Ben Statler in memory of Jo Statler's mother, Bonnie Wells Wilson.
Medicaid, Medicare and all private insurances and coverages will be accepted.
Funds have been made available through the breast and cervical cancer screening program for those who are uninsured or underinsured.
A physician's order for a mammogram is required. Once the order has been obtained, an appointment can be made.
Appointments will be scheduled by calling (304) 737-3665 for the Wellsburg visit and (304) 797-7733 for the Weirton visit.
