Wellsburg falls in state tourney

MARTINSBURG -- The Wellsburg Post 34 American Legion Baseball Team dropped a 6-0 decision to South Charleston Post 94 in the opening round of the West Virginia state legion tournament on Thursday.

Garrett Moore had the lone hit on the day for Post 34, while Caleb Billick (3 1/3 innings, 3ER), Hunter Mozingo (1 2/3IP, 0ER) and Matt Geer (1IP, 0ER) combined on the mound.

Wellsburg will play an elimination game today.
