Worried: A man who was fearful he would hurt himself because he hadn't slept in over 56 hours after consuming a large amount of crack during a three-day binge voluntarily sought treatment, Saturday. Several hours later police were called to the hospital after the same man allegedly was heard on his phone threatening to kill someone if his wife was hurt. He told police he was concerned for his wife's safety because she had been on the three-day crack binge with him and he wanted her to receive treatment.
Harassed : A man told police someone followed him around town yelling racial slurs, Saturday.
Damaged: A Brady Avenue resident reported three juveniles threw lawn decorations at residence, Sunday. Police said a plastic table, a metal lawn chair and a large wooden bench, all taken from a neighbors yard, had been thrown at the home, causing damage.
Trashed: A woman in the 500 block of South Fourth Street said someone dumped her garbage on the ground and stole her city-issued trash can, Saturday.
Hit-skip: A car parked in the 300 block of Scenic Drive was struck by a hit-and-run driver, Saturday. Vehicle suffered damage to the left front.
Conflicting stories: A man in the 700 block of Dock Street told police he'd allowed a woman to stay at his home several days and when she refused to leave they got into an altercation, Saturday. The woman left the residence when he called police, but was located walking nearby and told police the resident had attacked her and threw some of her belongings out of a window, kept her Social Security card, medical card, $60 in cash and her cell phone.
Breaking: A resident in the 300 block of Summit said someone tried to break into his garage, Sunday. Complainant said crackheads are repeatedly trying to gain access to property and requested extra patrols.
Jefferson County sheriff
Arrested: Jordan Lee Purr, 33, 7104 state Route 150, Dillonvale, petty theft and warrant for failure to appear, Saturday. Purr allegedly removed an Xbox 360 Halo 4 edition, a sound bar and a Craftsman 150-pound torque with drive impact from the home of a family member.
Arrested: Christina Reed, 37, 751 Grant St., East Liverpool, failure to appear warrant, possession of drugs and driving under suspension (Belmont County), Saturday.
Fake: A man impersonating a deputy attempted to solicit information from someone involved in a contractual dispute, Saturday. The victim, who recorded the conversation, said he became suspicious when the caller refused to give his badge number.
Theft: Tools valued at more than $8,200 stolen from a storage trailer on state Route 152 near county Road 36, Wayne Township, Saturday. Items taken included a fuel pump, space heater, welding supplies, grinder, grinding wheels, a propane heater, various tools, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches and keys to four vehicles
Altercation: A man punched another individual in the face and left in a car, which was later located over an embankment with a wheel in a creek just outside Toronto city limits, Saturday.
Vandals: A vehicle parked on Legion Street, Richmond, was paintballed, Jan. 28.
Lurking: A Smithfield resident reported a suspicious person banging on their door, Thursday. Deputies found footprints in snow outside the residence.
Found: A 16-year-old Rayland runaway was located at a residence in Brilliant, Sunday. The homeowner told deputies she was told the youth had been kicked out of their home. The juvenile is being held on an obstruction charge for allegedly trying to mislead deputies.
