Cited: Sheldon Purdy, no age given, 302 Belleview Blvd., dog at large, Monday, following a report of a juvenile being bitten by the dog. Police received a report of the dog emerging from Purdy’s home and biting a juvenile, who was found to have puncture wounds on her forearm. Jefferson County Sheriff Clean getaway: A camper at Fernwood State Forest was broken into Thursday night and a plastic bag containing soap was found on the counter as though the intruder was looking for something. Loose dogs: A sheriff’s deputy and dog warden responded to reports of two loose dogs acting aggressively toward people near Saline Street in Irondale Thursday night. The deputy said he used the drive stun of his Taser to scare the dogs and prevent them from attacking the dog warden before the two canines were apprehended.
