Brenda Sue Hawkey, 62, of New Cumberland, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024. She was born in Weirton on August 4, 1961, the daughter of the late Alfies “Spank” and Darlene (Eureka) Reese. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawkey and a brother Randy Reese. She was a 1979 graduate of Oak Glen and was employed with Mountaineer in Housekeeping. John Robert Johnston, 74, passed away , Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio October 24, 1949, a son of the late John Johnston and Betty (Weaver) Klepack. He was a veteran of the Army and a former Body Shop owner and a former member of the Colliers Sportsmens Club. She was born March 26, 1942, in Wheeling, WV to the late James Hervy and Imagene Chirsten Kemper. Joyce was retired from Brooke County Board of Education as a Teacher’s Aide, a volunteer with Valley Hospice, and a member of the Trinity Anglican Church in Washington, PA.
