FOLLANSBEE — Mr. and Mrs. Louis Headman of Follansbee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 18.

Headman and the former Carolann Black were united in marriage on April 18, 1970, at St. Anthony Church in Follansbee by the Rev. Harold Moore, now deceased.

He is the son of the late Louis and Wanda Headman and worked as a coal equipment operator at the Cardinal Plant in Brilliant for 25 years before his retirement.

She is the daughter of the late Edward and Caroline Black and worked as a lab technician at Trinity West for 30 years before her retirement.

They have a daughter, Joyce Roupe of Mingo Junction. Three grandsons and two great-grandsons complete the family.
