Arrested: James Threat, 36, 905 N. Eighth St., violating a protective order, Saturday.
Found: A purse containing several needles, a burned spoon and a tourniquet was found in a parking lot in the 200 block of North Third Street, Sunday.
Drugs: Due to space limitations at the jail, Jamie DeFrank, 30, of 5 Maple Drive, Apt. 5, was issued a summons to appear in Municipal Court for possessing a hypodermic needle, Saturday.
Cited: Stacey L. Kirkbride, 31, 801 Grant Ave., Steubenville, stop sign violation; Thomas Myers, 55, 315 Montwell, Mingo Junction, disorderly conduct; Joseph Sivard, 58, 1611 Ridge Ave., Steubenville, public intoxication, Saturday. Sivard allegedly urinated near the shopping carts at 100 Mall Drive, later telling police he didn't want to go in the store, they reported.
Assaulted: A man told police he was punched in the face by another man on Maryland Avenue, Saturday.
Confiscated: Drug paraphernalia, including two crack pipes, balls of copper mesh and a burned metal spoon with residue were seized from a residence in the 1400 block of Wellesley, Saturday. The items, said to be in plain view, were discovered when police allegedly were summoned to the residence for a potential overdose.
Relieved himself: Police said a man who defecated by a dumpster on North Third Street was instructed to remove it and find an alternative solution in future, Saturday.
Arrested: Jessica Layman, 41, 1677 township Road 163, Rayland, driving with suspended license, improper display of plates, bench warrants out of municipal court and Dillonvale county court, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday.

Arrested: Jonathan T. Parr, 26, 3631 Sunset Blvd., assault, Sunday.
Arrested: Tiah A. Merritt, 28, 1304 Hukill St., Brilliant, failure to appear warrant out of Carroll County, possession of drugs and possession of hypodermic needle, Monday.
