Theft: A silver ring, $3,400 in cash and 12 pairs of shoes reported stolen from an apartment on Maplewood Drive, Island Creek Township. Deputies said there was no sign of forced entry to the apartment, but locks reportedly were not changed before a new tenant moved in.

Steubenville
Arrested: Jessica M. Ensminger, 37, 136 Seventh St., Colliers, bench warrant for a probation violation, Thursday. Ensminger also cited for driving under suspension, failing to signal turn, expired registration and obstruction for giving police a false name.
