Escaped: A 2-year-old girl apparently let herself out of her father's residence on Township Road 104, Dillonvale, while he was napping, Sunday. The father said he awoke after a 20-minute nap to find the child missing. A neighbor told him the girl, who didn't have socks, shoes or a jacket on, was at his house warming up.
Humane: Neighbors complained of a dog barking for several hours without being checked on, Monday. Deputies said the dog's collar and lead were caught on a piece of fencing it had attempted to climb through after creating a hole in the fence on township Road 428, Toronto, and the animal was distressed. The dog, while skinny, had access to adequate food and water, they said. The owner said he'd recently purchased it and another dog and was trying to help the animal gain weight.

Arrested: Zachary France, 26, 611 Main St., assault, Sunday.

Disturbance: Family members became irate after learning a female who had overdosed earlier in the day could not be admitted to the hospital involuntarily, Sunday. Witnesses said as they pulled away, a member of the party threatened to return with a gun and shoot everybody up.
Arrested: Amanda Elder, 34, no fixed address, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and conveyance of drugs into a detention facility, Sunday. Elder allegedly failed to disclose to police she had heroin tucked into her bra, leading to the conveyance charge. A companion, Jason Babel, 46, 204 East First St., Mingo Junction, was cited for expired/unlawful plates.
Theft: A man currently vacationing in England said his ex-girlfriend took his guitar from a friend's apartment and sold it on Facebook Marketplace without his permission, Sunday.
Entered: Neighbors discovered the front door kicked in to a residence in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue, Sunday. Nothing is believed to be missing.
Theft: A television and a safe containing personal identification papers and a small amount of cash was reported stolen from residence in 1100 block of Oak Grove Avenue, Monday. Entry gained by kicking in a door, police said.
Harassed: A woman said a male acquaintance keeps knocking on her door and leaving her notes, Monday. The woman said she's also had to turn her phone off.
Theft: Roughly 40 tires reported stolen from a lot in the 1600 block of Roosevelt Avenue, Sunday.
