Arrested: Matthew Barton, 26, 180 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, petit theft and resisting arrest, Friday.
Checked: Callers reported seeing adults with children going in and out of a vacant house with no utilities on McKinley Avenue. Police searched the property without success.
Thief: An individual wearing camoflauge gear and sunglasses concealed several razors on his person, then tried to return them at the same store for cash, Friday.
Fearful: A Linda Way resident told police she was in "serious fear" of her husband, Friday. The husband was arguing with another family member and when she asked him to leave the residence to deescalate the situation, she said her husband told her the "only one leaving is you, in a body bag."
