Steubenville police

Arrested: Daniel McShan, 22, 426 Lovers Lane, domestic violence, burglary and a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Friday.

Arrested: Sean R. Scipio, 33, 1436 Oak Grove Ave., Steubenville, burglary and obstruction. Scipio was wanted in connection with a break-in at a neighbor’s home Friday. Police recovered an iPhone that had been reported missing after the unauthorized entry.

Arrested: Samuel C. Moore, 27, 400 South Chester St., New Cumberland, and Kevin A. Reed, 50, 106 South 11th St., Weirton, both for theft, criminal mischief and possession of criminal tools, for allegedly attempting to steal a trailer from the Steubenville Lowe’s lot Sunday night.

Arrested: Zachary Douglas Davidson, 19, 362 Maplewood Drive, Steubenville, disorderly conduct and obstruction, Friday. Callers reported Davidson caused a disturbance in the emergency department at Trinity West, allegedly becoming irate and screaming obscenities at a female companion as well as hospital personnel. Police said Davidson was warned several times to refrain from raising his voice cursing on hospital property, but continued. Davidson was taken into custody when he continued to direct expletives at others in his vicinity, including police, they said.

Cited: Anthony Z. Ferguson, 33, 231 Rex Ave., Wintersville, driving while suspended, open container and no tail lights; Winston A. Brown, 24, Apartment 121, 454 East Church St., Wintersville, possession of drugs and improper registration; Larai M. Faulks, 32,1117 State St., driving while suspended and stop sign violation; and Macei Madison, 24, Lot 2, 505 Labelle St., Brilliant, failure to appear.

Hit: A Meadville, Pa., man told police he was struck by a vehicle in the Kroger parking lot when he bent over to pick up a penny, Friday. The man said his right knee and hand were bruised and bloodied, and his rib was sore. He said the driver gave him his contact information.

Too high: Weeds violations were noticed at 1306 Belleview, 1317 Oak Grove and 136 McDowell, Friday. Notices of violation were mailed to each homeowner.

Shenanigans: Individuals fishing at the marina told police a group of juveniles threw rocks and yelled obscenities at them, Friday.

Dead: A West Virginia man found lying on a sidewalk next to the front door of a residence in the 700 block of Dock Street overdosed, Friday. First responders administered Narcan but were unable to resuscitate him so he was taken to Trinity West, where he was pronounced dead. Police said the area is known to be frequented by drug users.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Steven Kirkpatrick, 37, 45111 Cadiz-Harrisonville Road No. 12, Cadiz, warrant for failure to pay child support, Friday.

Arrested: Crystal Renforth, 37, 15 Capital St., Steubenville, failure to appear (falsification), Friday.

Arrested: James N. Gamble Jr., 57, Franklin, Ky., possession of a drug abuse instrument and trespassing, Saturday.

Targeted: The owner of a 1992 Chevy Silverado parked in the 1600 block of Jewett Road told deputies someone shattered the rear window, door window and tail light on the passenger side, Saturday.

Stolen: A red 2016 Polaris-Razar side-by-side that had broken down earlier in the week while the owner was riding in Costonia was missing when he returned two days later to get it, Saturday.

Pocketed: About $400 in cash was reportedly taken from a residence on Garden Avenue, Yorkville, Friday.

Harassed: A man told deputies he was threatened by a another man trying to collect a $200 debt he said was owed him by a woman he knew, Friday. The victim said the man told him if he isn’t paid, “you will pay for it.”

Brooke County sheriff

Arrested: Michael D. Ensminger, 43, 9 Conley Lane, Wellsburg, possession of a controlled substance, May 15.

Arrested: Autumn B. Kovach, 42, 628 Allegheny St., Follansbee, possession of a controlled substance, May 15.

Arrested: Ericka N. Martin, 39, 59 Three Arches Road, Colliers, destruction of property and assault, May 15. According to police reports, Martin threw two large rocks at a moving vehicle on her road, causing the windshield to shatter.

Arrested: Nina M. Lloyd, 39, RD 1, Colliers, driving under the influence, May 18.

Arrested: Edward C. Dameron, 32, 901 Bank St., Toronto, warrant for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and transporting it, May 19.

Arrested: Jerry E. Lucas III, 39, Moundsville, destruction of property and obstructing and assault on an officer, Thursday. According to police reports, a sheriff’s deputy received a report Lucas had taken ice cream and drinks without paying from a gasoline station on state Route 2 in Wellsburg. The deputy said when he ordered Lucas to place his hands behind his back, Lucas swore at him, made a fist and flailing his arms, struck the deputy in the chin. The deputy said after he forced Lucas to the ground, Lucas continued to flail, nearly kicking him in the face. The deputy said he delivered “disorienting strikes” to Lucas before he was able to apprehend him. An ambulance was dispatched because Lucas had a bloody nose, but Lucas reportedly declined to be treated.
