A silver Ford Escape with expired plates also was towed from the 1200 block of Oregon Avenue.

Cited: Frankie Scalise-Saylor, 26, 1408 Euclid Ave., Steubenville, failure to control. Scalise told police he’d been working on a vehicle around the clock and fell asleep at the wheel, rear ending a vehicle and propelling it into another. Police said the air bags in his car were deployed and the front end was heavily damaged, while the back end and front bumper of the car he hit also were damaged. Neither owner had insurance.

Shots: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle on the 1400 block of Ridge Avenue being struck by gun fire, Friday. According to the report, officers observed a damaged window on the vehicle.

Arrested: Police stopped a vehicle driven by Joseph Morris, 34, 614 Ohio St., Tiltonsville, for an improper turn, Friday. Morris was cited for turning at intersections and driving under suspension and was found to have a warrant for failure to appear and was placed under arrest.

Located: Police were made aware of a hypodermic needle on Lincoln Avenue and collected it, Friday.

Arrested: Travis S. Young Jr., 27, 5127 county Road 17, Rayland, possession of hypodermic needle, possession of drugs, Saturday.

Fight: Officers responded to a report of a fight behind a local bar, Saturday. Taken into custody were Robert Biacco, 52, 105 Wilshire Blvd; Paul Runkel, 22, 595, Braybarton Blvd.; Nick Zorne, 21, 305 Russell Ave, Wintersville.

Fight: Officeres responded to reports of a fight in the roadway in the 800 block of Broadway Boulevard, Saturday. One individual was treated for injuries at the scene. Stone Biacco, 19, 412, Terri Ave., was arrested for felonious assault; Seth R. Biacco, 23, 714 Broadway Blvd., was arrested for felonious assault.

Arrested: Terrald J. Herring, 44, no fixed address, cited for public intoxication, arrested for failure to appear, Saturday.

Jefferson County sheriff

Fight: A Yorkville man quarreled with four neighbors, knocking one of them to the ground several times, Wednesday. The initial caller told deputies she was walking her dog when the man came outside, accusing her of harassing his dog and referred to her in a derogatory manner. Another individual said he came outside to see what the fuss was about and the man started yelling at him, too, and when his child came outside called him a derogatory name. A fourth man came outside and asked him to stop yelling, but said the neighbor threw him to the ground several times. The man who was knocked to the ground had gravel scrapes on his hands and abrasions on his left knee and elbow. The belligerent male claimed he’d been head-butted, but the man he’d knocked to the ground said he didn’t remember taking aim at him though it’s possible he struck him when he was flailing around. Deputies said they observed a small abrasion on the lower lip of the other man, who deputies allege tried to pull away from them when he was taken into custody.

Throwing items: A Toronto man told deputies his mother had been running through his home, pouring water everywhere and throwing things around and he wanted her gone so he could sleep, Wednesday. He said he’d allowed her to stay with him after she was released from jail but she’s not welcome if she was going to cause problems. Deputies said the woman denied being on anything though she did admit to relapsing a few days earlier.

Arrested: Anthony Marsili, 36, 4998 state Route 152, Dillonvale, operating a vehicle under the influence, Wednesday.

Arrested: Barbara McCain, 55, 314 Grandview Ave., Tiltonsville, possession of cocaine, Thursday.

Arrested: Louis Sadler, 51,, 922 N. Eighth St., Steubenville, parole violation, Wednesday.

Arrested: Holly Lyn Hughes, 48, 411 county Road 56, Toronto, drug abuse and domestic violence, Thursday. Hughes allegedly threatened to bludgeon a man to death with a baseball bat because he’d told a family member he thought she was smoking methamphetamine. Deputies allegedly found five Xanax pills on Hughes when she was taken into custody. Hughes insisted she has a prescription, but because the pills were not in the prescription bottle deputies told her she’d have to prove it to the court’s satisfaction.
