Unhappy campers: Individuals who pitched a tent and had "loads of personal property" with them in Beatty Park were told they'd have to leave Wednesday. City officials had been notified the couple had been seen near the last shelter house, and officers were dispatched to locate them. The couple was told visitors will be cited if they're not out of the park by dusk, police said, so they agreed to leave and said they would remove their belongings, Thursday. Earlier in the day a caller had reported seeing someone setting up a camping hammock across the creek. Officers said the subjects were advised to leave the park before dark. Officers did not indicate in their reports if the same individuals were involved in both incidents.

Seeing things: A caller reported seeing a couple in 900 block of Sherman Avenue arguing and throwing items at each other, but police were unable to locate the residence that had been reported, and individuals in the area advised nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Struck: A female pedestrian was struck by a car in a parking lot at 4332 Sunset Boulevard, Wednesday. The woman said she was walking toward the gas pumps when she was hit. The driver said he was westbound in the lot when he hit the woman. His car sustained minor hood damage, police said. The pedestrian was taken to Trinity Medical Center West for evaluation.

Don't hit send: A woman was bilked into sending a fraudulent charity $450 in gift cards, police were told, Wednesday. The woman said she also gave the fraudsters her Social Security number and date of birth. She told police she'd responded to a friend request and clicked on a link to obtain money "from what she thought was a legitimate organization."

Bullies: A woman returned to home on Belleview Boulevard, Wednesday, to find a "large group of juveniles in her front yard, yelling at her daughter," police said. Her daughter said the threats and intimidation stemmed from an incident at Murphy Field.
