Neighborly: A Euclid Avenue resident had video of her neighbor chopping a sofa up with an ax and throwing it on her property, Wednesday. The woman also has footage of the same man taking a handful of trash and throwing it on her property. Police were unable to make contact with the man, so the matter was referred to the city's Litter Control officer.

Masked man: Pennsylvania Avenue residents were concerned with a man wearing a ski mask wandering around the area, Wednesday. Police searched the area for the suspicious male but could not locate him.

Dogged: A Brady Avenue resident was warned she can't leave her dogs out every day while she works the daylight shift, Wednesday. The woman said she puts the dogs out when she goes to work at 3 a.m., but residents living nearby say all they do is bark. She told police she'd start putting them back in the house before she leaves for work.

Assault: A Cleveland Avenue resident who'd been assaulted told police when she was interviewed at the hospital she didn't want to pursue charges against her husband, Wednesday. She said they'd been arguing and he put her in a choke-hold and threw her on the bed, then punched her with his closed fist.

Fraud victim: A Ravine Street resident told police someone used his father's debit card information to make a number of unauthorized online purchases, Wednesday. He said the total amount of the fraud was more than $3,400.

Helping: Callers reported two people trying to break into a green Ford Ranger in the 1400 block of Easter Alley, Wednesday, but when they talked to them the pair told police the owner of the truck had asked them to remove the tires. Police said the owner confirmed their story.

Holiday prep: A shoplifter left Walmart with a cart full of furniture and toys, police said. The stolen items were loaded into a car and the offenders drove off. Police are looking for them.

Mind changer: An Oak Grove resident said he called 911 because he and his girlfriend were arguing but hung up when he decided to leave the residence to avoid escalating their disagreement, Wednesday. A half-hour later a female called to report the same man had kicked her door in then fled the area. Efforts to contact the woman were unsuccessful.

Charged: Two people were booked on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing Kroger with $75 in personal hygiene products they hadn't paid for, Monday. Police said Stephen M. Stock, 49, 937 Broadway Blvd., Steubenville, was charged with petit theft and held on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court, while his companion, Sayla M. Watson, 67, 343 Lincoln Ave., Mingo Junction, faces charges of petit theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe.

Locked out: A Ross Street resident told police her neighbor put a lock on her gate so she couldn't access her apartment, Monday. She told them it's been an ongoing problem.

Look and listen: A mother was upset because her juvenile daughter won't listen, directs profanity toward her and her sister and is threatening to run away if she leaves, Tuesday. The girl told police she doesn't like her mother's boyfriend and does not want to be left alone with him.

Low: A woman at a Rosswell Avenue location said a male known to her took her cell phone and her son's $10, Wednesday.

Cited: Corey R. Wszeborowski, 24, Petrick Avenue, Mingo Junction, driving under suspension and red light violation. Wszeborowski was cited following a two-vehicle accident at Market and Fifth streets Wednesday. Both drivers said they had a green light.
