Troubled: A Toronto woman said another female showed up at her residence screaming she was going to beat her up, calling her a liar and denigrating her character, Monday. Multi-car: A West Virginia man was taken into custody on a range of charges, including leaving the scene and possession of drug paraphernalia, after a five-car chain reaction accident at state Route 7 and University Boulevard, Monday. Witnesses allege four cars were stopped at the light when the fifth, operated by a bald man wearing a blue WVU shirt, failed to stop, police said. The driver fled the scene on foot, running up the bridge abutment and across U.S. Route 22, then headed west on University Boulevard, they said. Minutes later, officers were notified a man matching that description had run onto the Microtel property. Police identified him as Kevin D. Truax, 45, 1893 Frankfort Road, New Cumberland, and said he matched the witness' descriptions and had the key to the vehicle that had failed to stop in his pocket. They said Truax also showed signs of impairment. In addition to leaving the scene and possession of drug paraphernalia, Truax was charged with OVI alcohol or drugs, first offense; hit-skip; driving under suspension and assured clear distance ahead.

He did ask them for a ride downtown, which police provided.
Pushy: A woman told police her husband forced her bedroom door open when she tried to distance herself from him by closing it, Saturday. He told police he didn't want the door closed. Both assured the responding officer they would stay out of each other's way, but several hours later she called police and told them he'd forced his way in again. He said she'd barricaded herself in the room so he couldn't get in and he didn't think that was right, so he pushed the door open so he could talk to her. His wife said he'd "aggressively pushed her door open and a ladder that she had barricaded the door with fell on her." Once inside, she said he called her derogatory names and began to argue with her and she feared he was going to harm her.
