Toronto police

Bistarkey, 35, McDonald, Pa.; Debra Baselj, 53, 229 East Parkway Drive, Weirton; Zachary Stueve, 25, 216 Opal Blvd., Steubenville; and Amy Svokas, 46, 1515 Bantam Ridge Road.

Cited: Maria Torres, 25, 466 county Road 49, Bergholz, driving while suspended and failure to control.

Summoned: James R. Sigman, 59, 11760 state Route 213, Toronto, consuming alcohol in a vehicle.

Jefferson County sheriff

Unbalanced: A Richmond man said his neighbor is threatening to harm him and his family, Thursday. He said the man has been directing vulgar language toward him and his family, and at various times has accused him of breaking into his house, stealing his belongings and killing his dog. He said the man told him he will "kill him, kill his pets and burn his house down" and while he had a fire going on his back patio recently fired several shots and screamed "I'll get you soon."

Recurring problem: A resident at Shaffer Plaza refused his medicine and attacked two workers, yelling profanities and threatening them, Wednesday. The man threw items and hit them on the head, neck and back, even threatening to kill them, deputies reported. He was taken to Trinity Medical Center West for evauation and released. The following day deputies were dispatched to Shaffer Plaza for another disturbance involving the same resident, again reported to be behaving violently toward staff and acting erratically. Deputies noted they've responded to Shaffer Plaza "at least 18 times since July 2021 for similar issues involving (the same patient.)" This time, because calls were being diverted from Trinity, firefighters transported him to Weirton Medical Center for evaluation.

Ex-trouble: An Empire woman said her ex-girlfriend returned to her residence after she'd been drinking most of the day and started pushing her, grabbing her by her face and neck, Thursday. She said the woman fled when she called 911. She didn't want to file charges, but told deputies she didn't want the ex returning to her house.

Touchy: A Steubenville resident told deputies her cousin picked up a rock and threatened to hit her boyfriend with it and said he'd have his live-in girlfriend "kill her" because he found a candy wrapper in the yard, Thursday. She said he also chest-bumped her "aggressively" and she's had enough of it. Deputies told her to obtain an order of protection.

Bye bye: A Mingo Junction resident said her ex destroyed her door frame letting himself into her house, Friday. She said they recently broke up, and when he showed up at her residence knocking at her door she ignored him; He then knocked on her bedroom windown and she ignored that, too. A short time later she said he walked into her bedroom, so she screamed at him and tried to push him out. She said he left when she said she was calling police. Deputies said the door frame suffered extensive damage, with pieces of wood lying on the ground along with some metal for the locks. They also recovered a large screwdriver. The woman is pursuing charges due to the damage done.

Whereabouts unknown: A shop owner reported a pistol came up missing during a federal audit by ATF, Thursday. The gun, a Smith & Wesson, was on the premises when ATF audited his business in 2019 and when he did his own audit in 2019 and 2020, he said. He told deputies he has no idea where the gun is now and asked that it be registered as lost.

Attempted break-in: A Richmond resident said someone tried to pry a lock open on a shed to the rear of his mobile home while he was at work, Thursday. He said he returned home and noticed the pry marks, but whoever it was didn't gain entry.

Steubenville police

Served: Two men were taken into custody when police checked an Adams Street property for trespassers. Herman E. Pinnell, 47, 627 N. Fifth St.., Steubenville, and Vance T. Lytle, 23, no fixed address, were taken into custody on outstanding warrants for failure to appear, police said. Lytle had told police he was waiting for the mail at the property, which is owned by a family member.

Served: Ronnie L. Delatorre, 36, 720 N. Seventh St., Apt. 15, Steubenville, two warrants for petit theft, Wednesday;

Toppled: A man parking his scooter in the 500 block of Market Street fell off, Wednesday. He told police he didn't need help.

Down and out: A man was sleeping on the sidewalk in the area of Fourth and Market streets, Wednesday. He told police he'd been kicked out of the Rescue Mission, but neglected to say why.

Shattered: A Lawson Avenue resident said she returned home to find someone had used her second floor window for target practice, Wednesday. She said she'd had taped a cross in the window and thinks the shooter aimed his BB gun at it.

Charged: William Cogar, 35, 103 Stoney Ridge Lane, Steubenville, theft, Wednesday. Wal-Mart employees allege Cogar price-swapped $160 in Pokemon cards, police said.
