Fighting: A Bergholz woman who'd fled her home told deputies her boyfriend had been drinking and she wanted him removed from her residence, Wednesday. Deputies said the man didn't seem impaired, and told them he'd only had two beers during several hours. He said they'd been arguing over the paternity of a child and that she hit him in the face before she left. When they finally located the woman, she told them she wanted the man to leave her house and never come back, and claimed he'd hit her with an end table "and then strangled her nearly to the point of losing consciousness," though deputies said there was no sign of a struggle in the living nor were there any marks on her neck.
