It was the second treatment form issued to the woman this week so after she was released from the hospital she was booked into the Jefferson County jail on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bad luck: A juvenile wearing his baseball cap sideways allegedly used a brick to shatter a window in a vehicle in the 200 block of South Eighth Street so he could steal a camouflage backpack, Tuesday. The report was forwarded to the juvenile division.

Gift horses: A Rayland woman told deputies Tuesday she needed help getting back into her home because her adult grandson had locked her out. She said she'd gone out to run and errand, and when she returned she couldn't get in her own home. When they arrived, the grandson claimed he wasn't sure she was going to return and was in his room playing music loud so he hadn't heard his phone ringing. Grandma told them he was lying and had been causing problems lately, being rude and treating her badly. She also mentioned he'd been using methamphetamine, though he told them he hadn't smoked any for about three weeks. He then began bickering with his grandmother, trying to excuse his behavior and the way he'd been treating her by "rambling on about his belief people were stealing items from around the property." Deputies asked him what that had to do with his dispute with grandma and he couldn't answer, at which point he was advised to stop talking. Deputies told him he couldn't lock his grandmother out of a home she not only lived in, but owns. They told him he needed to treat her more respectfully or she could have him evicted and he could "find himself homeless." Both were advised nothing had happened that could be considered criminal. Grandma was advised to follow through with the eviction process if she wanted him out of the house because there was nothing law enforcement can do to change his behavior.
