Fight night: A Steubenville-area resident told deputies his daughter slapped his girlfriend's daughter and left a red handprint on her face, Monday. He said he's been having problems with his daughter lying and becoming physical toward him and other family members and had filed unruly charges against her, but wanted the incident documented. His daughter claimed it was the other girl, several years her junior, who had gotten out of control and started hitting her in the face. She claimed the younger girl finally said she was going to go inside and tell the adults the older girl had hit her, and, when asked about the mark on the younger girl's face, figures she "must have done it to herself to get (the older girl) in trouble."
Lose him: A Yorkville woman told deputies her boyfriend hit her in the face during an argument, Saturday. To avoid escalating the situation, she said when she tried to get him to leave, he slugged her with an object, believed to be a bottle.
