Buyer beware: A state Route 213 resident told police he and his fiance returned home to find a truck parked in their yard and the driver slumped over the steering wheel, Sunday. He said he turned the engine off and got the driver out, then did chest compressions until help arrived. Deputies gave the unresponsive driver 4 miligrams of Narcan but it had no effect, and when the ambulance arrived he was given two more doses and revived. He told deputies he'd purchased 24 pills he believed to be percocets from an acquaintance earlier, describing them as round and blue with the number "30" and an "M" on them. He took one, but said he also took a Xanax earlier in the day. His cell phone and the other 23 pills were missing, he told deputies.

Family feud: Deputies were dispatched to a Knox Township residence after a man reported being threatened by his son, who lives in another building on his property, Sunday. The son and his live-in girlfriend had been fighting because he'd "absolutely forbade" her to take their children to visit her mother due to conditions in the mother's house. His girlfriend called his father to come get the kids so they wouldn't hear them arguing, prompting her boyfriend to call his father and leave profanity-laced messages. Deputies listened to the messages and said that while he used a lot of swear words, they were not threatening. His father told deputies he was going to initiate eviction proceedings, though they pointed out he'd said that before and didn't follow through.

Couldn't stay away: A Dillonvale woman said her mother showed up at her home even though she's been told she's not welcome there, Sunday. She said she saw her mother pulling into her driveway on her surveillance cameras, and went outside to tell her to leave. She told deputies her mother threw a box of glass dishes on the ground and followed her up on her porch, tugging on the door to prevent her from closing it. She said she had her oldest daughter bring her cell phone to call for help but her mother tried to take out of her hand, then shoved her down and threw a bag of toys to her youngest granddaughter and dared her to call police because "I didn't touch you." Her daughter didn't have any bruises or scratches but she produced a video of what she said was the altercation, and police also noted a box of broken dishes in the driveway. Her daughter complained of abdominal pain and told deputies she wants to file charges.

Walk away: A Tiltonsville woman said her live-in boyfriend came home drunk and when she confronted him, he threw her down the steps, broke a bottle over her head, pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her and her children, Sunday. She said when she tried to leave he threw her down on the ground and twisted her arms behind her back, threatening to kill her, before he finally left and got himself a room at a hotel. After she returned from the hospital he started texting her, threatening harm to her, her kids and her ex-boyfriend, and also admitted he'd beaten her.

Irritated: A McKinley Avenue resident told police juveniles keep kicking a soccer ball into his yard, Sunday. He said the ball hit his vehicle several times and he's invited them to practice in a field he owns across the street but they haven't. He said they've also tried to "climb his fence in attempts to mess with his dog." Police told the kids to play on the field and stay out of the roadway.

Booked: Brittany Petrella, 33, no fixed address, Steubenville, possession of a drug abuse instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia, Monday. Petrella had been spotted smoking out of a glass pipe at a downtown location in a high narcotics area, and when police approached the vehicle they said they saw her "throwing something in to the back seat and making furtive movements." They allege they found the pipe, with residue, on the floor as well as three syringes, one with a clear liquid Petrella said "was either heroin or methamphetamine," though she wasn't sure which it was.
