Last call: Deputies following up on a fire alarm activation at a club on state Route 213 discovered a man in a bar and a woman passed out on the pool table, Tuesday. The woman was face-down on the pool table with a small cut along her left eyebrow and would not respond to deputies. The man said she'd been there about two hours sleeping and he couldn't get her up, telling deputies she was "extremely drunk" and just needed to go home. She refused medical treatment, and a friend picked her and the male up and gave them a ride home.
Arrest: A Wellsville man was arrested by Ohio State Highway Patrol after he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face during an argument, Monday. Deputies said Nolan Bloor, 43, 1719 Riverside Ave., Wellsville, was booked into the county jail by OSHP on a domestic violence charge. His girlfriend's face had fresh bruises and blood on it and she was being treated by TEMS on state Route 7 about a half-mile before the state Route 152/Empire exit, deputies said. The girlfriend said they "got into another argument … while he was driving and he hit her," explaining to deputies Bloor "swung his right hand multiple times over toward her head, hitting her face" before parking the vehicle and walking away. Two deputies and K-9 Ripley caught up to him on the train tracks in Stratton Heights and he told them he was walking home.
Selective memory: A man who'd been staying with his girlfriend since she moved into a Dillonvale residence "less than two months ago" told deputies she'd locked him out after an argument, Tuesday. He said he'd banged on the front door to get in and even tried knocking out the glass to a window near the garage because he "is not upset with (her) anymore and just wants to be let back in the house." The woman admitted he is her boyfriend and told deputies she didn't want him at the house because "he believes she is cheating on him," but they told her if he'd lived there since she moved in" by law he's allowed inside. She told them the night before they were arguing and he "pointed his gun toward her head," and said it wasn't the first time he'd pulled it out of the closet "and aimed it at her" but she hadn't called because she knew it was unloaded and he points it at her "as a 'scare tactic'." When they questioned the male, he said he "had no knowledge of what (deputies) were referring to," so they stood by while he packed multiple bags with food and clothing and left.
Nodded off: A Rayland man told deputies he dozed off while waiting for the ATM outside US Bank in Brilliant, Tuesday. A caller had reported the man was passed out, but deputies said they didn't see any signs he was impaired.

Too little, too late: A 22-year-old student living at a Ridge Avenue location police have had to visit "at least 11 times" since September over various noise complaints was cited for a loud radio, Tuesday. Reeve K. Rohter, 22, 1612 Ridge Ave., told police he's aware of their past interactions with another resident and had attempted to keep the music turned down, but police said they heard the music as soon as they pulled into the alleyway by the house. As an officer walked up to the house, he said someone ran inside and turned it off.
Free ride: A woman fresh out of jail after being taken into custody by police on a warrant when she tried to report someone had borrowed her gray Chevrolet Malibu and hadn't returned it was back to talk to police, Wednesday. After spending the weekend in jail she said the woman she'd let use her car still hadn't dropped it off where she was supposed to have, nor had she returned it to her. She said the woman has been ignoring her requests to bring it back and when she finally reached her early Wednesday told her "she had the vehicle somewhere in the Wheeling area" and would return it around 9 a.m. The owner said she wanted to pursue the matter but told police the paperwork they needed to see was still in the car, which still has temporary tags from Pennsylvania.
Ponting fingers: A Wilshire Boulevard resident accused a delivery driver of hitting her car with a pallet jack at the midtown Dollar General, even though the driver insisted it wasn't him, Tuesday. A witness said the wind actually blew a wheeled Dollar General shopping cart loaded with pool noodles into the car.
Brazen: Employees at a Sunset Boulevard business report a woman entered the store and "concealed many items in a shoulder bag, then left the store without paying for (them)," Tuesday. The woman is believed to be involved in a series of thefts from the store, police said.
Served: Michael Thompson, 28, 427 Dresden Ave., Steubenville, warrant for petit theft, Tuesday.
