Bite: Police responded to a report of a dog bite on July 31 and were met by a man who said a woman had been bit by a dog while she was walking between two houses on Aetna Street. Police observed the woman to have a cut on her left arm from the dog. While the woman was walking, the man said, the dog "came out and bit her while on his leash." The woman was taken to Trinity Medical Center West while police spoke with another woman, who said the dog was on a leash when the first woman was bit. She also said the man police had spoken to went outside and threatened to "hit the dog with a brick," though she was able to calm him down. Police spoke with the dog's owner, who showed police where the dog was tied up, and police noted that the leash "does not go past his residence." Also, police contacted the dog warden who advised the dog be quarantined for 10 days, and police told the owner that the dog must stay within his property until Wednesday, to which the owner agreed.
