Brooke County Sheriff

Charged: Ronald C. Bottorf III, 35, 988 Northview Road, Wellsburg, destruction of property, Tuesday.

Toronto Police

Charged: Herb R. Firm, 75, 508 North Fourth St., possession of drugs and driving under the influence, Aug. 22.

Charged: Thomas E. Evans, 76, 13034 state Route 213, Irondale, improper start from parked position, Friday.

Charged: Michelle Tipton, 49, Fitzgerald, Ga., contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Monday.

Steubenville Police

Hang it up: A caller reported seeing a small child walking unattended in the 400 block of S. 6 th Street, Tuesday. Police said when they got there neighbors said the father had found the girl, and when they talked to him he said he was in back of his residence on the phone "and didn't see the juvenile wander off."

Summons issued: Miranda Tingler, 40, 131 Willow Lane., Steubenville, possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop, Tuesday. Police alleged Tingler was observed driving recklessly on Washington Street Hill and when they pulled her over, reported finding found two small white baggies and two snort straws with what is believed to be cocaine residue. Tingler also was cited for expired driver's license.

Nervous: A woman in the 100 block of N. 4 th Street told police someone was trying to break into her apartment, Tuesday. Police said there was no sign anyone had tried to force entry.

Bothered: Neighbors complained a man was "standing outside yelling" in the 2500 block of Sunset Boulevard, Tuesday. Police located the man, who told them he accidentally let his dog out of his house and was upset because it had been "almost run over by a car recently."

Overstayed: A Lincoln Avenue resident wanted her boyfriend removed, Tuesday. She said they'd been arguing because the children weren't in bed so she wanted him to leave.

Code issues: A notice of violation was sent to the owners/occupants of a property at 515 Lawson Ave., bed frames, dresser drawers and garbage piled on the front porch, overflowing garbage can, bags of garbage and swimming pool with stagnant water, high grass/weeds. Officers also spoke with the occupant in person.

Cited: Stephanie A. Severin, 50, 1132 Barone Dr., Weirton; Cecelia R. Lesnefsky,22, 1220 Pennsylvania Ave., Steubenville; and Jason R. Dysert, 47, 441 Canton Rd., Steubenville, all for speeding; also, the owner of a vehicle in the 300 block of Market Street, parking on a yellow line.
