Risky business: A Rayland man told 9-1-1 dispatchers he "just used meth and (felt) like something is eating his insides," Saturday. Charles Richard Lee Butler, 25, 11472 state Route 150, Rayland, was booked into the county jail on a child endangerment charge after he admitted there was no one else in the house at the time who could care for his children. He told deputies two friends brought the meth to his house and they all took it.

Road warrior: A Mingo Junction man landed in the county jail after he allegedly refused to get out of the road, Monday. Alfred Andy Prokop, 49, 125 Ravine St., 401, Mingo Junction, was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Deputies allege Prokop was laying in the roadway and said when they asked him why they said he told them because "no one was driving on the road this early in the morning on a holiday." He initially refused to identify himself and resisted efforts to get him out of the roadway, ripping his arms away from them. During the booking process, jail staff allege Prokop tried to strangle a correctional officer.

Issues: An unresponsive male was found in the 1500 block of Cadiz Road, Wintersville, Monday. EMS administered Narcan to the man, reviving him, and he refused further treatment. Deputies looked into reports he'd been involved in a domestic dispute across the street prior to overdosing, but the woman at the residence said he was just a friend who'd been there most of the day and was "extremely intoxicated" by the end of the evening. She said he threw up all over her bathroom and refused to clean up his mess, so she'd kicked him out of her house.

Exed-out: A Cadiz Road resident needed deputies to remove his ex-girlfriend from his residence, Saturday. He told deputies his ex-girlfriend of two years had asked to borrow his car and he let her, but when he got home that day, he'd found her at his home and her things still in his car. He said he repeatedly asked her to get her stuff and leave but she refused, and when he took her things out of his car and put them in the parking lot she "threatened to take a brick and smash the window out of his truck." His ex said they argued over family issues and claimed the man got so angry, "he threatened to 'smash her face,'" so she told him she'd throw a brick through his truck's windshield. Deputies drove her home and warned her not to go back.

Cheating hearts: Deputies were dispatched to a Wilson Avenue location along with a city police officer to address a disturbance, Tuesday. Two people at the residence said they'd been arguing over the male cheating on her. Both insisted it had been "only verbal and has since dissipated."

Charged: Jaimee Bing, 1333 Euclid Ave., Steubenville is facing multiple charges after she was pulled over following alleged marked lane violations, Friday. Deputies said Bing told them she forgot her purse, couldn't remember her Social Security number or destination, didn't have identification cards and the name she gave them turned out to be that of an area resident who was deceased. They said she eventually provided them her real name and allegedly told them the odor they smelled in her car was "fake" marijuana that she'd smoked more than an hour before. Deputies said Bing's "speech and her demeanor appeared sluggish" so they contacted the Ohio State Highway Patrol, who charged her with possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension. Bing also was cited for the lane violation charge.

He said the light is "overpowering and excessive" and makes two bedrooms in his home unusable, and when he talked to the neighbor the man asked if it was a bother. When he told the neighbor it was a bother, he said the neighbor replied, "Is it a bother when you park in front of my house?" The light was not on while police were there and the neighbor didn't come to his door. The complainant was referred to code enforcement.
