Cars at risk: A caller in the 700 block of Kendall Avenue told police juveniles were breaking into vehicles, Saturday. Police located the owner of one of the vehicles and said the console had been ransacked but nothing was taken.

The homeowner said two bikes were stolen from her property by a "small group of juveniles" and said one of the bikes was a blue "Trail Runner Huffy" with skulls on it and a black chewed seat, while the other was a red Mongoose. The homeowner said she last saw the kids headed south on Carnegie Street near Maryland Avenue. A neighbor later reported a purple women's mountain bike was stolen from his property as well.

Grab bag: A woman in the 1400 block of Ridge Avenue told police her son came home with a gym bag full of merchandise stolen from Kroger, Saturday. Police said after she gave them the bag to inspect they found four packs of steaks with the Kroger label, a case of miniature Fireball whiskey bottles and a Four Loco tallboy. The six items in question were valued at just over $167, police said. Police said no charges will be filed until they've had a chance to review store video to verify the items were stolen.

Booked: A city resident caught inside Kroger when a judge had told her she was forbidden to be there ended up in even more trouble because she had a bag containing crack, Sunday. Police said Breonna Williams, 31, 1418 Pennsylvania Ave., was booked into the justice center on charges of contempt of court and possession of drugs after admitting to police she'd been in the store. She told police she knew she had a no contact order "but it was the only place she could shop" and said she went in, then "quickly exited once she remembered she was not allowed there." She told police she "didn't remember if she had anything illegal on her person but if she did it was in her shoe." En route to jail, they reminded her she'd face a conveyance charge if any drugs were found on her and allege that after some fidgeting in the cruiser, Williams produced a bag that she said contained crack that had been in her shoe. Police said they'd also found a snort straw in her pocket.

Police said there was glass all over the floor of the apartment, and he had a bruise on top of his head.

Swindled: A Hollywood Boulevard property owner told police he hired a local contractor to replace a retaining wall at his rental property but the man hasn't done the work, Friday. He said the contract called for him to pay the contractor $3,352 for the work, half of it to be paid up front to cover materials. He said the man removed some of the old wall that day and told him the new block would be delivered that day but it's never come and the contractor hasn't been back. He said the contract at one point said he would refund his money but never showed up. He filed a case in small claims court and won the full judgement because the contractor didn't show up for court. He was advised to file a police report and speak with the prosecutor about filing charges.

Police pulled the original police report and were able to track down one of the kids who'd been to the house looking for the phone and said they'd reach out to the owner.
