Family matters: A Bergholz man said AEP is threatening to shut his electric service off because someone opened an account in Steubenville using his name and hasn't paid the bill, Friday. He said he found out about it when AEP called to tell him if he didn't pay the $1,700 bill electric service to his home in Bergholz would be shut off. He told deputies he didn't open the account and thinks it could have been his father, who shares his name, and said it wouldn't be the first time. AEP told him he needed to file a police report.

Suspicious: A Bloomingdale woman claims people at the sportsman's club have been "driving past her home and intentionally shining lights into her home while they spotlight deer," Saturday. She said they don't come onto her property, but she thinks it's harassment and claims they've also left dead deer on the road in front of her home. She told them she doesn't know why they're doing it but "thinks it is to annoy her," and admitted she doesn't have proof. They suggested she try to capture offenses on surveillance cameras.

Moving time: A Toronto woman wanted help getting her ex-boyfriend to leave her home, Saturday. She told deputies he was in her basement, and she found a needle under his foot and said it's not the first time he's brought substances into her home. After consulting prosecutors, deputies told her she'd have to file an eviction notice.

Bottoms up: A man who'd had too much to drink caused a disturbance at a Bloomingdale residence, Monday. The homeowner said her boyfriend "came home intoxicated and an argument ensued" when she asked him to go sleep in the living room, Monday. The woman advised there was no physical violence, and her boyfriend "admitted he was drunk and (said) he planned to finish taking a bath and go to bed."

Without a trace: A Bloomingdale woman said she came home to find a window from her home missing, Sunday. She said there was no broken glass and "the entire window was missing."

Booked: Donald Keith Shook, 38, 301 Carnegie Court, Toronto, probation violation, Thursday.

Steubenville Police

Pushy: A Plum Street resident said a man pushed his way into her home, Sunday. She said he showed up at her residence and when another family member answered the door pushed his way into the residence past her, claiming to be looking for a woman and began searching the house. The homeowner didn't know him and told police she didn't want to pursue charges, but she doesn't want him to come back.

Bad move: A city resident who walked away from the hospital despite being on a police hold was take into custody, Sunday. Police said Daniel Drake, 65, 324 Maxwell Ave., was charged with escape and obstruction after he was spotted on foot walking toward Sunset Boulevard. Police allege Drake tried to escape between houses.

Help wanted: Callers reported a man who was possibly passed out inside a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Linden Avenue, Sunday. Police said the man had been sleeping inside his vehicle but told them he was OK but "didn't feel that he could drive home and requested a ride." Police gave him a lift.

Drunk: A female was taken to the hospital for treatment after callers reported she was unconscious, Saturday. She was awake when first responders arrived, and individuals who were with her said she had "passed out after being highly intoxicated," police said.

Questions: A North Street resident told dispatchers someone broke into her home through a kitchen window, then hung up, Monday. Police checked the resident and said there was no sign of anyone inside nor was there any evidence that someone had broken in.

Porch pirate: A Ridge Avenue resident said two packages were stolen from her porch, Sunday. She said she got the notification from Amazon that the packages had been delivered, but when she got to her front porch they weren't there.

Move along: Owners of two vehicles parked in the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue with no registration plate were advised they could be towed, Sunday. Both owners said they would get them out of the street.

Tussle: A couple involved in an altercation had left the scene before police arrived, Saturday. Bystanders said the two had been arguing and shoved one another, "but nothing else physical occurred."

Attempted entry: Someone tried to enter a house in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Friday. Police said there were pry marks on the door and damage to the strike plate.

Booked: Daniel T. Drake, 65, 324 Maxwell Ave., Steubenville, bench warrant for failure to appear. Drake also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a broken glass pipe was allegedly found in his pocket, police said.

Served: Elisa M. Monigold, 39, 513 Linden Ave., Steubenville, warrant out of municipal court for theft, Sunday.

Booked: Bobbie L. Renforth, 49, 1510 Pennsylvania Ave., Steubenville, assault, Saturday. Michael J. Vraninin, 39, Hillcrest Ave., Burgettstown, Pa., misdemeanor theft, Sunday. Wal-Mart employees allege Vraninin failed to scan six items at the self-checkout, bagged them and left the store without paying for them, police said.

Gresko, 55, 3899 Palisades Drive, Weirton, expired registration and speeding (school zone); Terry Lindey, 56, 421 Lawson Ave., Steubenville, failure to yield following two-car crash Friday on University Boulevard at Wellesley Avenue, no injuries; and Emily S. Bland, 32, 815 Biltmore Ave., Toronto, speeding (school zone.)
