Time to go: A city resident asked police to remove a female who was refusing to leave the property, Monday. She was already gone when police arrived, but the homeowner advised she didn't want her on the property "due to her young children being at the residence and the female's drug use." Police attempted to locate the female without success.
Bullied: A motorist told police a juvenile "who bullies her some" threw a brick at her windshield, Monday. Police said the glass on one side of the windshield was cracked and there were marks on the hood of her vehicle where the brick rolled off.
Table topped: A Maryland Avenue resident said her son cut his hand during a disturbance he caused, Monday. The son said his mother "began yelling at him because he had purchased a gaming card," and when she kept yelling he "cleared the table off," shattering a glass candle holder on the floor. She said he wasn't physical with her or anyone else at the home, nor was she in fear of him.
Flagged: An employee reported someone cut an American flag that flew in front of the Deparment of Jobs and Family Services off its pole, Monday. He said he discovered it missing when he arrived at work and said a woman who was standing outside the office when he arrived told him she took it overnight, but when police arrived she denied responsibility.
Passed it off: Police were asked to check on a woman due to "concerns about an ongoing domestic situation," Monday. The woman said she and the male had argued but nothing physical had taken place "and he has not physically assaulted her recently," police said.
Loose screw: A South Carolina resident said a man took his license plates and stabbed his tires at a location at South and Fourth streets, Tuesday. He said he told the man to put the plates back on his vehicle or he'd call police but the man refused, but when police checked his vehicle they said the plates "were back on the vehicle (though) the plate screws (were) barely screwed in as if someone just put (them) back on." They said there was no visible damage to the tires.
Picture this: A Mingo Junction man was given a summons to appear in municipal court in connection with a recent theft at Kroger, Monday. Police said Kevin Glasure, 41, 103 Shamrock Ave., Mingo Junction, was charged with misdemeanor theft after police spotted him leaving the store. Glasure denied involvement in any theft, police said, but when they showed him a still photo of the suspect in the store's lobby they allege "he admitted to the theft."
