Buy a vowel: Callers reported a drunken elderly female causing a disturbance at a downtown business, Thursday. Police were told the woman walked in the store and "began screaming the F word for no reason." They said she eventually calmed down and sat down to talk with employees. Police said the woman "was obviously intoxicated" but was not being disruptive in their presence, so they gave her a ride home.
Charged: A city resident is facing multiple violations after allegedly backing his car into his neighbor's yard while under the influence, Thursday. Police said Mark Withers, 43, 2721 Sunset Blvd., was charged with OVI, resisting arrest and obstruction after he ignored their orders to stop the car and instead "continued to go into reverse." They said they smelled alcohol on him when they opened the car door and that he refused to exit his car, adding that when they tried to pull him out from behind the wheel, "he would not move."
Punched: A Maxwell Avenue resident said a woman punched her in the side of the head, Wednesday. She said she was visiting a male in the 1500 block of Plum Street when the woman walked in and slugged her, leaving her with a cut on her temple. She wants to pursue charges, but the male said the Maxwell Avenue resident stopped by "uninvited, to pick up items" and when the other woman walked in the room they started arguing. The other woman said the Maxwell Avenue resident began assaulting her, so she punched her in self-defense.
Asked to leave: A Maryland Avenue resident told police a juvenile damaged his front door after he asked him to leave his home, Thursday. He said the juvenile "bullied" his son to let him inside the residence and said he's previously asked the youth to leave "multiple times" and even told him he's not to come back.
Too late: A woman said she sat her wallet on top of the paper box outside the Marathon station and then forgot it, Wednesday. She told police she realized her mistake and got back in time to see a man with a red coat holding it, but when she told him it was hers he ignored her and walked off toward South Street. He dumped her wallet on the sidewalk but kept an envelope containing $80 in cash.
Turned about: A Toronto woman punctured both passenger side tires turning right from John Scott Highway onto Kingston Avenue, Thursday. Police said it appeared she grazed the curb.
Reclamation project: A Pennsylvania woman told police a Sinclair Avenue resident has a car registered to her and her now-deceased ex-husband and she wants it back, Wednesday. Police said the woman who had it told them she has no problem giving it back and said she's told the Pennsylvania woman "to come get it numerous times."

Cited: Kasey L. Mamula, 39, 515 N. Fourth St., Toronto, speeding and failure to signal lane change. Police allege Mamula told them "she was distracted because she was talking on her telephone." Also cited were Joseph E. Soto, 24, Lisle, Ill.; Jonathan McGovern, 1501 Roosevelt Ave., Steubenville; speeding.
